The project ‘Stag – TTFI One Million Players by 2020’ is an endeavor to create a world-class table tennis champion from India. Below is a detailed outline of the project:
Under the programme, Stag will help to conduct a 5 days introductory table tennis camp. Stag would provide a professional coach and the expert fees will be paid by Stag (including travel cost), two TTFI approved table-tennis tables + One Mini T.T. Table will be provided for the camp on returnable basis.
Sixty rackets with ITTF approved rubbers and T-shirt will be provided at a special price of Rs. 600 per racket., 6 dozen one star plastic balls will be provided. Thirty surrounds will be provided , a robot training machine would be provided for the duration of the camp.
The institution would need to ensure the enrollment of a minimum of 50 participants to host the camp. The camp attendance fee ranging to Rs.1000 would be charged from each participant and the entire camp fees collected would go to the institution hosting the camp. Each participant also needs to pay a fee of Rs. 200 in order to become a registered table tennis player.
This registration fee will be equally shared by the respective state table tennis association and the Table Tennis Federation of India.
